Public Safety

The Department is currently contracted with Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association (APIA) to provide two Village Public Safety Officers (VPSOs) to provide law enforcement services to our community. Learn more about the Village Public Safety Officers Program here.
Village Public Safety Officers conduct preventive patrols of the community, attend community events, provide assistance to the community when requested, perform traffic control, conduct criminal investigations, and serve the community as First Responders.
Tip Line
The Saint Paul Department of Public Safety has set up an Anonymous 24-hour Tip Line to assist law enforcement in keeping our community crime and drug free. To report criminal or drug activity, call 907-546-3130. If you call, you will reach a recording, after which, you can leave a message. Please give as much detail as possible in order to assist us better (time, date, involved parties and the type of activity occurring).
Again, this is anonymous, you do not need to disclose personal information about yourself. If you do however want to be contacted, you can leave your name and number and an officer will contact you.
The Anonymous 24-hour Tip Line is NOT an emergency number. If you witness a crime or have an emergency that requires law enforcement immediately, please hang up and dial 911.

Ready? Set? Good!
Every household should be prepared to get through the first seven days of a disaster. Your disaster preparedness kit should start with flashlights and batteries, a battery-operated radio and plenty of water. The Ready? Set? Good! campaign is a helpful resource in getting prepared for a disaster. Learn more Ready.gov/
