Administrative Assistant with Public Works
The Administrative Assistant for Public Works will provide general administrative support to Public Works. Duties focus primarily on filing, document preparation, answering calls, directing services, managing work orders, and data entry utilizing various programs. This position works under the direct supervision of the Public Works Director or designee and may take functional direction from the City Clerk and/or City Manager. This is considered an entry level position where work is performed according to established procedures with little variance from those procedures required. Police Officer
A Police Officer performs general duty police work in the protection of life, property and preservation of peace through the enforcement of laws, regulations, and city ordinances. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police, the Police Sergeant, and/or delegated supervisory officer. Work is performed independently. Assignments are received in the form of general outlines of what is to be accomplished and the employee determines the most appropriate course of action consistent with departmental rules, regulations and procedures. Public Safety Dispatcher
The Public Safety Dispatcher position receives emergency calls by telephone, radio system or computer-aided dispatch system. They question callers to obtain the information needed to determine an appropriate course of action. This position works under the direct supervision of Administrative Assistant/Dispatch Supervisor and may take functional direction from the Chief of Police or Police Sergeant. This is considered an entry level position where work is performed according to established policies, procedures, and/or protocols with little variance from those procedures. Request for Proposals for Architectural, Engineering and Project Inspection Services for the Saint Paul Small Boat Harbor Utility Expansion Project

The Project includes the extension and upgrade of water, sewer, and electric utility infrastructure to support commercial activity within Saint Paul Island’s small boat harbor area. Final design and environmental review and permitting are also included in this project.

The Project includes construction of the following:

  • Extension and upgrade of water, sewer, and electric utility infrastructure within Saint Paul’s small boat harbor area.
  • Extension of approximately 1,120 feet in 10-inch water main with 400 feet of 6-inch hydrant laterals, 130 feet of service lines and two fire hydrants.
  • Installation of approximately 860 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer main, abandonment of approximately 450 feet of existing sewer lines, installation of 500 feet of sewer force service lateral, and two sewer lift stations.
  • Installation of approximately 600 feet of primary underground cable, installation of two transformers, two sectionalizing cabinets, four new lighting poles, and approximately 1,060 feet of underground service/lighting cable.

The architectural, engineering and project inspection (hard cost) budget for the Project is $383,000.00. The Project is federally funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration, Award # 07-79-07871.
