Village Public Safety Officer
Recruiting for a Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO): Full-time (37.5 hours per week) position on Saint Paul Island, Alaska a remote community located in the Pribilof Islands (Bering Sea). Starting Salary Range: $70,700.00-$81,315.00 DOE+ benefits (including housing and utilities).
Job Duties: Job duties include but are not limited to law enforcement, community policing, fire safety, prevention and suppression, emergency medical, and search and rescue.
Requirements: Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical fitness test, criminal background check, medical examination, and complete the 8-week VPSO Basic Training at the Alaska law Enforcement Training Academy, one week Emergency Trauma Technician certification, and the 2-week Rural Fire Protection Specialist certification course.

Ambulance Drivers
The Ambulance Driver drives the ambulance to respond to emergency calls when the ambulance is needed.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must possess a valid Alaska Driver’s License.
Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk I performs cashier duties and may also perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to payroll and purchasing.
This position works under the direct supervision of the Accounting Supervisor and may take functional direction from the Finance Director. This is considered an entry level to intermediate position where work is performed according to established procedures with little variance from those procedures required.
This position involves extensive contact with department employees, other departments, the public, and external businesses, agencies, and organizations and requires a tactful, pleasant, courteous, and diplomatic manner, and a neat appearance.
Equipment Operator with Public Works Department Temporary
One experienced Equipment Operator is needed to develop the City’s new Aalax Landfill out by Polovina Hill this summer. The Equipment Operator will assist City staff with development of the new landfill cells, landfill road, installation of fencing and equipment building at the Aalax Landfill. This position requires knowledge and experience with operating the following types of heavy equipment: loader, dozer, grader, dump truck, and excavator.
Laborer with Public Works Department – 2 positions available Temporary
