Accounting and Grant Specialist with Finance Department
The City of Saint Paul, Alaska has received several grants to improve critical infrastructure in our community, ranging from water, wastewater, electrical, and bulk fuel utilities. The Accounting and Grant Specialist will assist with financial
management of these various grant funded projects.
The Accounting and Grant Specialist, under the direction of the Finance Director, Accounting Supervisor, or designee, performs accounting and financial management for the various grants the City has received, including but not limited to performing fiscal and budget analysis, reconciliations, and postings, purchasing, preparation of financial statements, reports for the grants. The Accounting and Grant Specialist may take functional direction from the City Manager, Grants Coordinator, and/or Project Manager.
The Accounting and Grant Specialist considered a mid-level position where work is performed according to established procedures with little variance from those procedures required. This position involves extensive contact with department employees, other departments, the public, and external businesses, agencies, and organizations.
The Accounting and Grant Specialist position requires a tactful, pleasant, courteous, and diplomatic manner, and a neat appearance.
Police Sergeant
The Police Sergeant serves as an all-hazards emergency first responder. The Police Sergeant works in coordination with Village Public Safety Officers and is involved in field patrol, investigations, crime prevention, community relations, emergency medical services, search and rescue, and related services and activities; assumes responsibility for assigned special programs, projects or activities; coordinates activities with other agencies; and performs a variety of administrative and technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
The Police Sergeant works under the direct supervision of the City Manager. This is considered a mid-level position where work is performed according to established policies, procedures, and/or protocols.
The position involves frequent contact with Village Public Safety Officers, Alaska State Troopers, City employees and the general public. This position must present a professional look and wear Department issued uniform.

PROJECT: City of Saint Paul Bulk Fuel Utility Upgrades
The City of Saint Paul, Alaska (“Owner”) is accepting proposals for the construction of upgrades to the City’s bulk fuel storage compound, including replacement of the retail fuel storage and dispensing system, upgrades to the bulk transfer truck rack, and provision of related gasoline and diesel piping, sensors, meters, wiring, and controls for the Bulk Fuel Utility. The Owner and Electric Power Systems, Inc. (“Engineer”) have prepared this bid solicitation.
