Songbird Research

The McLaughlin Lab from University of Alaska Anchorage is conducting research on the songbirds of St. Paul Island. We are using nets to catch birds, collect genetic samples, and give them a band with a unique number before letting them go.
You’ll likely see us around town and elsewhere on the island. Please come say hi! We are always excited to talk about our work, and we’d love to learn more about St. Paul from talking with you!
