Elections and Voting
Election notices are posted publicly 20 days prior to election day. The notices will be posted in at least three public areas in the community. No persons shall engage in any electioneering within 200 feet of the polling place on election day. If you have any questions about voting qualifications, please contact the City Clerk.
Register to Vote
If you are unsure whether you are registered to vote, contact the City Clerk. You can register to vote or change your party affiliation at the City Clerk’s office during normal business hours.
Voting Location and Hours
The voting location is at the City of Saint Paul Rec Hall located at 950 Gorbatch Street, Saint Paul, Alaska 99660. The polls are open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for local elections and from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm for State and national elections.
Absentee Voting
If you are going to be off island on election day, absentee voting is available one week prior to elections. Contact the City Clerk to make the arrangements to cast an absentee ballot.
Saint Paul City Council
Elections for City Council seats are held annually on the first Tuesday of every October. If you would like to run for the City Council, you must submit a Declaration of Candidacy Form 15 days prior to the elections.
Pribilof School Board
Elections for school board are held annually on the first Tuesday of every October. If you would like to run for the Pribilof School Board you can contact the Pribilof School District at (907) 546-2221.
